WWi The War at Sea

Control of the oceans was a matter of life and death for each side during WWI. The British Royal Navy blockaded Germany to prevent food and supplies reaching the Central Powers and Germany had a secret weapon of her own: the U-boat.

Looks at the development of combat on the sea as well as the technology of World War I.

The chapter entitled "Casualty of War", covers the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915. It was a British ship torpedoed by the German.
