Big Boreal Adventure
The Big Boreal Adventure is a city-wide, nature-based quest. Register at any branch of the Library where you can pick up a map and guidebook to get started.
The booklet lists 30 different sites where you can enjoy the natural world and have fun outdoors with friends and family. The goal of the quest is to locate the cedar post hidden somewhere at that site (your guidebook has clues) and to make a rubbing from the plaque on the post. Each plaque has been designed by a local artist and is something found in nature.
Don't just "adventure" during spring and summer - winter offers some special sights and unique opportunities for photo-taking, geocaching, exploring and learning too!
